Khalid Sharif is appointed as NDF Deputy Governor

The National Development Fund (NDFBoard of Directors has appointed Mr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Sharif as Deputy Governor. Mr. Sharif’s appointment is part of the NDF’s endeavors to strengthen its organizational structure and increase the efficiency of its operations, which is crucial in achieving the Fund’s vision of boosting development funds and banks in the Kingdom to even higher performance levels.

Mr. Khalid brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Since 2021, he has served as the NDF’s Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary General of the Board of Directors, assuming important roles in governance, risk, and compliance. He also oversees the implementation of strategic initiatives for the Fund’s affiliated development funds and banks. 

Before joining the NDF, Mr. Sharif held many leading government roles, including Head of Alternative Government Finance, Head of the Sustainability Support Program, and Head of the Projects Support Fund at the National Debt Management Centre. Before joining the public sector, Mr. Sharif had gained valuable experience at Macquarie Capital and HSBC.

The National Development Fund was established by Royal Order No. (A/13) issued on 13 Muharram 1439 AH. It was mandated to advance the performance of development funds and banks and aid them in better fulfilling development priorities and economic obligations related to the Saudi Vision 2030.
